All the Shame, None of the Real Estate

America takes on the shame, the cost, and the guilt of genocide, and in return we'll get...well, nothing, except probably more immigrants who hate us.

A book I’ve started reading at the suggestion of a commenter here, Understanding the Jews, Understanding Anti-Semitism, by French writer, Herve Ryssen, contains the following passage:

It is interesting to note that Jewish intellectuals, who are always talking about “humanity,” instinctively confuse Jews themselves with that humanity. Elie Wiesel writes, “To save our people, we must save all of humanity.” Kafka said, “Whoever strikes a Jew, knocks all of humanity to the ground.” Nahum Goldman expresses the same idea this way: “It is in the interests of all of humanity that the Jewish people must not disappear,” he said, because the Jews are the bearer of “values that concern all of humanity.”

In his book, Five New Lectures on the Talmud (1977), the philosopher, Emmanuel Levinas projects Jewish particularity onto a universal level and speaks of “the suffering of Israel as universal suffering.”

Jacques Attali says the same thing in The Jews, the World, and Money (2002), “A misfortune for the Jewish people is a misfortune for all men,” taking the same logic even further: “The disappearance of the temple was also a tragedy for all non-Jews, since the Hebrews prayed for them, they know not what they have lost.”

Elie Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in late 1986. In his “Oslo Speech,” delivered for the occasion, he spoke, as usual, of “hope” and “humanity” and “peace on earth.” “Jewish suffering should be of concern to all humanity,” he said. “The day will come when crimes against the Jews will be considered crimes against humanity, and crimes against humanity as crimes against the Jewish people.”¹

So, according to Elie Wiesel, the day will come when the Jewish genocide of the Palestinian people will be seen as a crime against the Jewish people. Oh look, that day is already here.

Yesterday, the US Senate passed a resolution “denounc[ing] the rhetoric of anti-Israel, pro-Hamas student groups as antisemitic, repugnant, and morally contemptible for sympathizing with genocidal violence against the State of Israel...” Even as the State of Israel commits genocidal violence against the Palestinian people, the US Senate condemns the “genocidal violence against the State of Israel.”

And, of course, Congress has more money headed Israel’s way, though there has been some debate about that. The debate in Congress, however, isn’t over whether the genocide of the Palestinians is any of our business, or whether the US could play a role in stopping the bloodshed, or even whether the US should really be sending more bombs, guns, missiles, and ammunition to the side committing the genocide. In the US Congress, the debate is whether to fund the genocide of the Palestinians in the same legislation that funds Vicky Nuland’s genocide in Ukraine, or to separate them so that each genocide has its own funding bill. But all agree: we must send more money and missiles. We must do our part for the genocide. It’s an emergency!

For those Americans who want to do even more, there is no shortage of Jews providing places to send money to “comfort” the Israelis suffering through the genocide of the Palestinians. Here’s the pitch from a Jew who calls himself Hope4Israel.org:

By blessing those suffering the devastating reality of war, and comforting Israel in her time of distress, we are answering the call to comfort those in affliction with the comfort we ourselves have received in the LORD.

In the summer of 1862, the Sioux Uprising swept across southern Minnesota, triggered by an incident on August 17, when four Dakota Sioux, after being refused whiskey on credit, killed five settlers, including the store owner and two women. The next day, led by Chief Little Crow, the Sioux attacked the Redwood Agency, killing more than 40 civilians and soldiers. For two weeks, bands of Dakota Sioux attacked white settlements and homesteads, killing 800 men, women, and children before a volunteer force of 1,400 whites arrived and ended the carnage. Two thousand Indians were captured. The rest fled west into the Dakota Territory, while Chief Little Crow fled to Canada. Trials were held and more than 300 Sioux were sentenced to death. President Lincoln commuted the sentences of all but 39, one of whom was later exonerated by new evidence. Finally, on the day after Christmas, two thousand Minnesotans watched as the 38 Sioux were hung in Mankato.

Like the Palestinians in Gaza, the Sioux had been pushed onto small pieces of the land of their ancestors. An oppressed people without hope, the Sioux struck back in 1862 just as the Palestinians did on October 7. And just as the Israelis are retaliating against the Palestinians, we white Americans retaliated against the Sioux. After hanging 38 of the Sioux in the largest mass execution in US history, Minnesota replaced the remainder with Somalians.

No one today pretends the arrival of Europeans in North America was anything but a disaster for the North Americans. Similarly, the arrival of Europeans in Palestine has been nothing but a disaster for the Palestinians. In both cases, the arrival of the Europeans resulted in the complete dispossession of the natives. We pretended the dispossession we inflicted on the Native Americans was part of “God’s plan.” The Israelis today do the same thing. Our name for God’s plan was “manifest destiny.” The Israelis call it “return to the Promised Land.”

The United States isn’t about to give North America back to the American Indian tribes any more than Israel is going to give anything back to the Palestinians. We stole this land fair and square, just as Israel stole theirs. It’s ours and we’re keeping it, because that’s the way the world works. The strong take from the weak. If we had to justify it to ourselves by discovering a divinely orchestrated “manifest destiny,” then so be it. We ended up with a whole continent.

The Khazarian Zionists of Eastern Europe, with the blood of 66 million Russian Christians still fresh on their hands, tricked the great powers of the Christian West into stealing Palestine from the Palestinians for them by cleverly calling their new territory “Israel.” The Zionist Jews got some prime real estate. For its troubles, the West got nothing but more trouble—a lot more.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describes the genocide his military is inflicting on the Palestinians as “civilization vs barbarism” and says Israel’s fight is humanity’s fight. Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant, whose attacks on civilian structures in Gaza has killed more than 7,000 Palestinian civilians, says, “We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly.” Former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman described Palestinians as "horrible, inhuman animals” in an interview with Britain’s SkyNews.

I used to live across the street from a 7-11 that was owned by a Palestinian. Above the store, they had their office, a storeroom, and a mosque. One day, I left my apartment building just as a Muslim man wearing the traditional white robe and hat passed in front of my building on his way to the mosque. As I was going the same direction, I fell in behind him. He was opening an envelope as he passed and, when he had removed the letter inside, he threw the envelope on the ground and continued to walk while reading the letter. There was a dumpster right next to the door leading up to the mosque. I drew abreast. “Hey,” I said, bending down and picking up the envelope and throwing it in the dumpster, “this is how to work one of these things.” (Yeah, I’m that guy.)

So, what do you think was this horrible inhuman animal’s response to my provocation? He said, “Thank you, brother. You have taught me something.” Now, I don’t care where you are, that’s a remarkable response. Very tough to pull off in that situation. And supremely civilized. He demonstrated with elegant emphasis the base dishonesty of Netanyahu and his cronies’ contemptuous characterizations of Palestinians as animals and barbarians.

Herve Ryssen, the French writer quoted at the top of this article, makes the claim that Jews instinctively think of themselves as humanity. Netanyahu states the same thing openly. Yet Ryssen has been imprisoned five times in France for antisemitic writing, including one time for writing the book I’m reading now. The French justice system has also forced him to pay large sums of money to the Jewish groups who persecute him for speaking the truth about them.

The West rewards the liars with billions of dollars and the missiles that splash the brains of children against the stone walls of their ancestral homeland. When one of our own speaks the truth about these genocidal monsters, we lock him in a cage and give his money to the Zionist liars. If this is Christian civilization, give me barbarism.
