You cannot separate the OT from the Gospel. Jesus' God is the angry desert demiurge. He came in fulfillment of the scriptures in the OT. Christianity along with Islam is midrashic and one continuous story including Karl Marx. The Gospel is beautiful and thoroughly kosher.
No real God could have a "chosen people." If something is real, it is real for all humans. It is universally real. If genocide is immoral, it is universally immoral. Jehovah commands Jews to commit genocide. Therefore, Jehovah is not a universal God, which is to say, not a real God.
